The first Supercharger stations opened in 2012. Route planning, battery preconditioning and integrated payment gradually turned charging infrastructure into part of the vehicle experience.
Connector standards differ by region and generation. Imported vehicles require particular care: physical connector compatibility does not automatically guarantee communication, billing or fast-charging support.
